The good news is Osi Umenyiora, who has yet to play this season due to arthoscopic knee surgery on August 19th, was on the field and practicing. Along side, Mario Manningham, wide receiver who had a big season last year. The Giants are looking good and hopefully bring home a win this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Good and Bad News for The New York Giants
Hakeem Nicks, of the New York Giants, missed practice this thursday due to swelling in the Knee. Nicks had a hyper-extended knee and also showed that he had bruising around his knee a few weeks ago. Head Coach, Tom Coughlin, claims that Nicks will be playing this Sunday, but nothing is set in stone just yet. Justin Tuck, the defensive end of the New York Giants was not seen on the field on Thursday, but was seen riding the bike, after straining his groin and having a sore neck.

The Indianapolis Colts in Trouble
The Colts are off to a very rough start to the season. Starting the season with 0 wins and 3 losses. Game 1 losing to the Texans 34-7. Game 2 losing to the Cleveland Browns 27-19. And than, most recently losing to the Steelers 23-20. After losing their star player Peyton Manning to neck surgery, it does not seem like the Colts are going to be much of a threat this season. Just when they thought things couldn't get worse, in week three their back-up quarterback, Kerry Collins, suffered concussion-like symptoms against the Steelers. Collins with have to sit out this Sunday, therefore Curtis Painter, a 3 year NFL quarterback, will step foot on the field as a starter for the first time in his NFL career. Good luck to the Colts.

Is Vick back for week 3 of the NFL?
After suffering a concussion during the second half of the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Atlanta Falcons, Michael Vick is still questionable for Sunday's game. The Eagles are facing one of their biggest rivals Sunday, the New York Giants. Vick was at practice on Thursday fully geared. The Eagles have still not stated if Vick will participate Sunday or not yet, but I think that he will play. This is a huge game for not only the Eagles, but for Vick. The Eagles need him back and he knows that.

What to Come
Throughout this course I have chosen to blog about the latest sporting news and events. Sports have been a big part in my life ever since I was little. I always have watched and followed basically every sport. Such as: Basketball, Football, Soccer, Baseball, and occasionally Hockey. I have also played all of these sports throughout my life. The top sport I would like to blog about would be basketball. Unfortunately the NBA is most likely going to be in a lockout this season and maybe even into the next season.
