I do agree with the fact that the NFL should be drug free, but it should be done in a fair way.

Is The NFL Player's Union Stalling HGH Test?
On Friday, two lawmakers who want the NFL to test players for human growth hormone (HGH) say the player's union might be stalling to avoid putting the test in place. About two weeks ago these two men stated that after a meeting with the league and the union that there was a deal to begin collecting blood for testing. The union didn't agree, and told the NFL to "hold off". The player's did not think that this random HGH testing was fair. As seen in this quote, "Players have made it clear that the only priority is getting a testing procedure that is right and fair. That is what we will do."(espn.com)

With all the money that these athletes get paid I think that they should get tested just like any other job in the world. I know that it is a demanding industry and there is a lot of pressure to perform well on the players, but it is not fair for other players in the league or for those that are in college dream of becoming a pro athlete. If any player tests out positive then remove them from the league just like any company would fire an employee. If the NFL does not get tough then it's going to lose the fair competition factor that fans seek. That is why I stick to college sports.
